MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS

JTA Health invests in high-tech and innovative diagnostic projects, including:

• Novel products for various clinical diagnostic applications:

Allergology, Autoimmunity, Bacteriology, Biochemistry, Gastro-enterology, Hematology, Human genetics, Mycology, Parasitology, and Virology.

• Protocols to merge and evaluate information from many biological, environmental, socioeconomic, and geographic sources in order to provide risk assessments for a variety of diseases based on environmental exposure and genetic factor;
• Identifying the causes of individual differences in response to commonly used drugs;
• Studies on novel biological markers that indicate a higher or lower risk of developing prevalent diseases.

CANCER SCREENING CAMPAIGNS

JTA Health funds initiatives to screen for four malignancies, which have been demonstrated to lower cancer-related fatalities, including: Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer, Colorectal Cancer (CRC), and Lung Cancer.

  New, high-tech mammography technology helps detect breast cancer early.

  A Pap smear and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) tests can detect abnormal cells in the cervix that have the potential to develop into cancer.

  Fecal Immunochemical tests (FIT) are a fairly affordable method of screening for colorectal cancer.

  Lung cancer screening with low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) for those with a history of heavy smoking.
